Recreational pursuits are the number one activity in Hot Springs
Village.Hot Springs Village is simply a large playground for all
ages. Our recreational centers, tennis, outdoor areas, and swimming
pools appeal to the playful side of almost everybody. If your
backhand needs perfecting, try our clay tennis courts. We have on
staff teaching professional to help improve you game. Keeping in
shape is a top priority in Hot Springs Village. The Natatorium and
Fitness Center features an indoor 25-meter pool and a weight and
exercise room with the latest exercise equipment. We also have a
whirlpool, saunas and customized individual programs that are
developed by the fitness center's staff. For the young or the young
at heart, the DeSoto Games Area has a program for all ages.
Miniature golf, basketball, tennis courts, and a playground are real
hits for year round fun. A large part of summer fun always surrounds
the outdoor pools. We have three pools in the DeSoto complex for all
ages. We offer such a variety of recreational activities and
opportunities for socializing that you can't possibly run out of
things to do here.

This 400-passenger riverboat sails daily for sightseeing, lunch and
dinner/dance cruises. Chef Wilson features award-winning prime rib
and other entrees, which are served with a garden fresh salad bar.

Details:
Garvan Woodland Gardens, Arkansas' premier botanical garden, is
located on 210-acre peninsula on Lake Hamilton. Open 7 days a week.
April 1 - October 31 from 9am to 6pm and November 1 - 21 and January
2 - March 31 from 10am to 5pm. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for
seniors (55 and older), and $3 for children 6-12 and ages 5 and
under are free. The Garden features a Welcome Center, Outer Space
Gift Shop, a four-acre Asian rock and stream garden (The Garden of
the Pine Wind), the Full Moon Bridge, Verna C. Garvan Pavillion
designed by E. Fay Jones and Maurice Jennings, 20-foot tall Canopy
Bridge, waterfalls, springs, cascading streams, Japanese Maple Hill,
Border of Old Roses, ADA accessible paved trails and hundreds of
thousands of plantings.
From November 22 - 28 and the month of December, the Garden's hours
will be 12pm - 9pm to allow visitors to view the elaborate holiday
lights display. The Garden will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas
and New Year's Day.

The Thoroughbreds of Oaklawn Park offer some of the most
heart-stopping excitement you'll find in The Natural State. From
February 8- April 15, see the nation's top names battle it out at
one of the nation's finest tracks. And it's all located in the
middle of historic and beautiful Hot Springs National Park. We also
offer a complete simulcast season of coast-to-coast tracks, so
you'll find plenty to do no matter what time of year you're here.
The simulcast season will run mid-April through mid-January;
